International Medical Group Earns Privacy Shield Certification, Demonstrates Compliance with EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Data Protection Requirements

INDIANAPOLIS (January 10, 2018) — In an increasingly digital world, cybersecurity and data protection are of utmost importance to consumers across the globe.
Accordingly, International Medical Group® (IMG®), an award-winning international medical and travel insurance company, has earned its privacy shield certification, demonstrating compliance with EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. data protection requirements.
These protection requirements — part of the EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Frameworks — were designed by the U.S. Department of Commerce, European Commission and Swiss Administration to provide companies on both sides of the Atlantic with a mechanism to ensure the safe transmission of personal data from the European Union and Switzerland to the United States.
